Tall Guy

Far from the same thing. I'm talking about an actor in one role, not redefining the idea of what dwarves or Hobbits are. There's a difference. It's also funny that you'd comment on the subject, Tall Guy. I can only assume that you haven't read the books. Reacher's size is the source of much of the humour (not that there's much) and often leads his character into trouble. And yes I can sympathise with that, because standing head and shoulders above the crowd does get you noticed, and not always in a good way. In "Jack Reacher", his ability to blend into the crowd cut across the whole idea of the character in the books. I'm sorry, but Shaft's black, Kojak's bald, Modesty Blaise is a woman and Jack Reacher is huge. Incidentally, his size makes him a lumbering runner, and he's also a very mediocre driver. I seem to recall Tom Cruise doing both in the film to his usual boringly Mission Impossible standard.

Perhaps cruise should where a tee-shirt in the next Reacher that is the poster and caption for Electra glide in blue? So, jack reacher, and tall guy, you are just tall, thats all.
