Something I always laughed at is that the centerpiece on that table is a droid used earlier during the Sandcrawler sequences.
Well I never notice that before. But if it is a droid (or part of one) that would explain why the bloody thing keeps moving about in between shots!
Actually the continuity in the Death Star's conference room scenes has always bothered me - Tarkin's chair keeps changing from normal (like the other officers have) to a high-backed one.
