WEDNESDAY, MAY 6
CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR---Marvel Studios announced that Martin Freeman (THE HOBBIT, SHERLOCK) has joined the cast in an undisclosed role.
THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN---Jason Momoa (GAME OF THRONES) and Lee Byung-hun (GI JOE: RETALIATION) will co-star in the remake of the 1960 John Sturges Western. Momoma will play a villain, and Lee will play a character named Billy Rocks.
BRAVE NEW WORLD---new Syfy/Steven Spielberg series underway based on the Aldous Huxley novel.
SPIDER-MAN---the five candidates to direct the Sony Pictures reboot movie are: Jonathan Levine WARM BODIES), Ted Melfi (ST. VINCENT), Jason Moore (PITCH PERFECT), John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein (VACATION) and Jared Hess (NAPOLEON DYNAMITE).
GOTHAM---showrunner Bruno Heller said Season 2 will explain Bruce Wayne discovering the hidden passageway in Wayne Manor at the end of Season 1, "It's a fireplace that moves sideways and goes downstairs. It's not the Bat-Cave, because the Bat-Cave only comes into existence when Bruce Wayne decides to become Batman. Call it his father's office...It's very much a visualization of one's parents' secret lives, their past, when you're a kid that age. When you're so young, the idea that your father and mother had hopes and dreams and secrets of their own. That's what that staircase leads to. Dark secrets."
Heller also said Season 2 will feature the origin of The Joker.
MASTERS OF SEX---Josh Charles (THE GOOD WIFE) will have a recurring role on the series as a successful scent salesman.
THE INFINITE HORIZON---Warner Bros. movie underway based on the comic book inspired by Homer's THE ODYSSEY that is set in the future where a Middle East war captain leads his troops home. Their ten-year journey leads to encounters with a hi-tech Cyclops, the Sirens and other creatures.
MYST---Hulu series underway based on the video game.
EVERY GOOD BOY DOES FINE---movie underway in which a young boy, who is rebellious piano prodigy, is mentored by a brilliant music teacher who is a serial killer who preys on musicians. Michael Nyqvist (MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE GHOST PROTOCOL) and Famke Janssen (TAKEN, GOLDENEYE) star.
BRONCO BELLE---Emily Blunt (EDGE OF TOMORROW) will star in this movie as a determined woman who seeks to become the champion bull-rider.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR---Marvel Studios announced that Martin Freeman (THE HOBBIT, SHERLOCK) has joined the cast in an undisclosed role.
So between this, The Hobbit, and Sherlock, that makes THREE different franchises that Cumberbatch and Freeman will be working on together!* Wow. And I do really enjoy him, but there was never any question about if I would see the next Marvel films. 
*If one were technical, they might point out that Doctor Strange (Cumberbatch) is not guaranteed to appear in Civil War, which is true. But it's part of the MCU, and same franchise. Plus, if Freeman's character survives, they will most likely share screen time by the time Infinity Wars comes out.
