This a Sterling Hayden triple-header and consists of 'The Killing', 'The Asphalt Jungle' and 'Crime Wave'. Read all about it here: http://thecinemacafe.com/the-cinema-treasure-hunter/2015/5/6/now-listen-to-me

It's things like this that make me miss cable. But I don't miss it enough to go back to paying through the nose for it each month.

Sam Jaffe is the star of ASPHALT JUNGLE as for as I'm concerned, and is great.

I love Marc Lawrence in anything he does. There's a joke around my house that John Cazale went to the Marc Lawrence School of Acting. HaHa.

Unless I'm mistaken, Sam Jaffe got a Supporting Oscar nomination for ASPHALT JUNGLE. I met Marc Lawrence (with his son) many years ago, waiting in line to enter the Directors' Guild for the memorial tribute to John Huston. I got a great kick out of schmoozing with him about old Hollywood, but I'm sorry to say I had completely forgotten that he had worked with Huston, so none of the films I asked him about was ASPHALT JUNGLE or KEY LARGO. BTW, Lawrence wrote an autobiography:

Arthur, I missed this thread when you first posted it, but happily I was watching that night anyway. (Very little on TCM gets by me.) Thanks for heralding a wonderfully-programmed selection of flicks. What a terrific night of movie-watching.
