See Sons of the Desert and County Hospital as they should be seen on the BIG screen! Don't just take my word for it. Hear Randy Stretvedt, author of Laurel and Hardy, the Magic Behind the Movies endorse it too!

Didn't think there was a screening near me. Then I noticed it's coming to Leeds. Where my daughter lives. Looks like I'll be taking her to the pictures. I brought her up on L&H films as an introduction to black and white. I just didn't want her growing up as one of those kids who would turn the tv channel over just because it wasn't in colour.

What a great year this is L&H-wise. My own little charity night earlier this year. Last weekend saw this year's UK Convention in Sheffield by our own Tent, Brats (UK). July sees the Ulverston (where Stan Laurel was born) Carnival, where Sons of the Desert from all over the country (and sometimes further away) take part in the Lord Mayor's Parade. And before that Stan and Ollie on the big screen!

What more could one ask? June. An appropriate month.

"Her name is June and very very soon, she'll belong to me.
For I know she's waiting there for me 'neath that lone pine tree..."

All together now!

"In the blue ridge mountains of Virginia......"

Yay! Now Vue cinemas have joined in. My nearest is in the Meadowhall shopping mall, only two stops on my rail link to Sheffield, and twenty minutes journey.

It's also on the date of Stan's birthday, June 16.

Wonderful.
