I didn't see Donaggio on that list. It seems like there has been increasing interest in him in the past few years so I would think there would have been enough threads to qualify.

That's a great breakdown and probably a close approximation. However, how many thread titles don't have the composer's name in them, but just the title of the film they scored?

And how many threads start off discussing a particular composer or film and then go off on an unrelated tangent? The numbers are only meaningful as to relative rankings.

To give one measure of Goldsmith's popularity, there are more threads on "Planet of the Apes" (122) than on any of the 45 bottom composers in the list above.

When I started this post, I never thought I would get such a detailed answer! Thank you, Bob! And it is illuminating. I knew Goldsmith was big on here, but I never realized HOW big.
