Roger says:

We have four scores from the 90s for your consideration. First up is a 2-CD set of an expanded mid-90s score -- an outdoor thriller that packs quite a bite.

The second album crams on three scores from the early 90s, all by the same composer. From zanny comedy to the heartfelt drama to frenetic animation, it's a nice cross section of this composer's diversity...all previously unreleased.

Intrada should also be issuing "Lady and The Tramp" from the Disney Legacy Collection on this day.

First one kind of sounds like THE GHOST AND THE DARKNESS.

Danged if I can tell the second one.

My guess for the second one would be a trio of David Newman scores. Maybe Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead and a couple of others?

It does sound like The Ghost and the Darkness. Now I'm really looking forward to the announcement!

Chris.

Since Intrada did Troll In Central Park my guess is the "frenetic animation" is Robert Folk's Rock-A-Doodle. He scored comedies and drama as well. Rock-A-Doodle is probably a very short score so it would fit on a compilation.

'Zany and frenetic' scores hold little interest for me, so the second release probably won't be anything I'm looking for. However, the 2 disc set sounds more interesting. It wouldn't be 'ALIVE' by JNH by any chance?

ALIVE is too short for two CDs and it's more a drama than a thriller. But I still hope it will be released in complete form someday.

Whenever I see the name of TGatD, I remember this FSM post:

Shaun Rutherford:

I went out with this girl once who completely ruined the main theme for this, so if you don't want to know why, please don't read anything beyond this sentence:

FROSTY THE SNOWMAN

Back in the early 80's when Intrada had a little store on Vallejo Street, Varese Sarabande was going "great guns". Now,it is Intrada that it is pre-eminant among specialty labels and Varese is almost non-existant.

Not to sound rude but you know ...

Intrada knows that also, but they still have not forgotten their golden and silver age fans to the extent that Varese has.

Should be great, although would you guys consider The Ghost and the Darkness to be a thriller? I associate the genre with crime, not with lions.

Recalling looking forward to the other release too. (In fact, for me it sounds like the most interesting one of the two)
