I saw the film (which is passable but unmemorable aside from a good performance from Helen Mirren). The score is fine, some nice but underdeveloped emotional material (which I'm assuming was Phipps), and a surprisingly large amount of thriller/suspense music which was clearly Zimmer, which was relatively engaging but very simplistic, it reminded me of a less bombastic Frost/Nixon. I sound lukewarm on the score I realise but I quite enjoyed it in the film and will definitely check out the album.
I think I've established that I'm not a Zimmer fan. Saw this film with no idea who did the score. All through I was quite impressed with the music. Imagine my surprise. (Although typically there was another composer in the mix. That always makes me wonder). I'm very pleased to hear the score will be released. I had already (literally) put in on my 'please release me, let me go' list.
