Hi All Check out a new edition of my new Filmmusicmag.com composer podcast On the Score, as BRIAN TYLER talks about composing for the car and costume-driven super teams of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON and FURIOUS 7! It's an extensive interview where Tyler reveals what it's like to collaborate with his own musical inspiration Danny Elfman on the mightiest Marvel film yet, while also paying tribute to the Alan Silvestri themes of yesteryear, then reveals what it's like to speed from real-life tragedy to emotionally cinematic triumph with his fourth entry into the blockbuster FAST AND FURIOUS franchise at: http://www.filmmusicmag.com/?p=14466 Thanks as always for tuning into Filmmusimag.com for the latest composer interviews and soundtrack reviews. Excelsior! Daniel Schweiger Host, "On the Score" Filmmusicmag.com

fourth entry into the blockbuster FAST AND FURIOUS franchise Didn't he also contribute source music to the first one? Yes, he did. But he first "true" score was for Tokyo Drift. He talks about the whole FF legacy in the show, including the first entry.

Dan, I listened to the entire interview last night, and it was fantastic. It was nice to hear Tyler talk so enthusiastically about these two scores, and about the influences he got from his "heroes" (he mentions Elfman, Williams, North, and others). He sounded truly honored to collaborate with Elfman on this score (even though of course they didn't co-write any cues together, and all communication was long distance). He also talks about his upcoming scores in the interview - The Truth and Now You See Me: The Second Act. Great interview all around!

Brian is a really great interview, as intelligent as he is enthusiastic
