STAR WARS ANTHOLOGY: ROGUE ONE---the three Star Wars spinoff movies will be called the STAR WARS ANTHOLOGY series. The first movie, ROGUE ONE, is a prequel to the original 1977 movie and is set between NEW HOPE and REVENGE OF THE SITH. The plot involves a Rebel Alliance mission to steal the plans for the original Death Star. Felicity Jones will play a Rebel Alliance soldier. Gareth Edwards (GODZILLA) is the director.
JURASSIC WORLD---new trailer and poster released shows Chris Pratt with his team of trained Velociraptors.
HOWARD THE DUCK---George Lucas said a reboot of his reviled 1986 movie might be rebooted by Marvel Studios, "Even HOWARD THE DUCK is a cult classic. I have a feeling that Marvel's gonna redo it because of the technology they have today."
PREACHER---Elizabeth Perkins (BIG) will co-star with Dominic Cooper in the AMC series based on the comic book. Perkins will play a new character, Vyla Quincannon, who has a connection to the Preacher.
X-MEN: APOCALYPSE---Lucas Till is returning as Havok.
ZOOLANDER 2---Penelope Cruz will co-star in the sequel.
RUPTURE---Noomi Rapace stars in this sci fi movie in which a single mother is abducted by a mysterious organization and discovers she harbors a startling secret.
I might give Lucas more leeway / credit than others around here in part because I not only don't hate this movie, I actually enjoy it - more even than some of his actual creations, and despite the fact I also love the original comic, which the movie admittedly doesn't live up to. I'm not sure I can call it "good", exactly, but damn, I do find it entertaining.
