This is great news. For some reason my wife has been a big fan of this film for years (she's not normally into the genre) and she made me see it. Right away I was impressed with the score. It's really in-your-face, interesting, and exciting (listen to the main title cue for a taste). I have a bit of Thor-like skepticism that it can sustain an 80 minute album, but unlike Thor I don't mind editing things down in iTunes and I'm glad to be able to pick what I put on my playlist. Kudos to Intrada for this release! And I don't find it strange that they released it at all. They've done plenty similar scores by Christopher Young, after all. Yavar

Great score by Beltrami. That being said, this doesn't feel like a title Intrada would have released. *shrugs* Intrada just likes good scores, (regardless of the release date). This qualifies!

Where is the FSM chatter on this great release? Has anyone received it, listened to it, enjoyed it, anything? I plan on ordering it this week together with The Ghost and the Darkness. Will get back on ya once I've heard it. Intrada really is on a roll this year!

Received my copy today! Really excellent score, I love how it takes you on a journey. I remember being really disappointed when I found it the score wouldn't be released, so I'm glad Intrada released it. They really are on a roll this year!

Well I dunno if I've ever seen this before; Roger Feigelson from Intrada posted his own 37 minute cut-down of their Red Eye CD! In case you guys are interested in a program that is a little tighter and plays at a good pace, here's my reduced track list. 37 minute program: 1. Main Title 2. Arriving at the Airport (Cut out after 2:21 -- there's a natural breaking point) 3. Waiting for the Flight 4. Take Off 5. Changing Focus (Cut out the first 8 minutes...there's a good break point there) 6. The Pen is Mightier Than the Sword 7. Rocket Fishing 8. Jack's Back 9. End Credits Have fun. More of an action listen now. Roger

Thanks for the post, Jason. If only people had enough interest in this release to try an interesting alternate program such as that. I think it's a good edit, I would definitely include 3:48-6:14 of "Landing" which definitely holds up the "action" end of the bargain and includes some of the more interesting rhythmic ideas of the score. An underrated release! It's easy to sweep up a thriller score with the rest but when done effectively and with tick-tock precision a la Red Eye they can be so much fun!
