Does anyone else think it's high time for the original OL series to get the HD new transfer respect it deserves? Think of the bonuses....PLEASE STAND BY, THE UNKNOWN pilots....TNT's Monstervision interviews from the 90s...new interviews/commentary with surviving cast members...

Yes. Absolutely positively.

The flipper DVD's were never okay although I was glad to get them since nothing better was available.

Money burns a hole in my pocket for supplemented hi-def transfers of the original THE OUTER LIMITS on blu-ray.

Oh yes! But seeing as they're owned by MGM, I don't think they're ever going to get the Twilight Zone treatment. I'll have to check my R1 old flipper-disc set, check if they're still working.

Don't forget to add Stefano's THE HAUNTED, featuring Frontiere's eerie music recycled in BEACHHEAD.

I don't recall an episode of THE OUTER LIMITS called "The Haunted."

Or was The Haunted something else?

It's an unsold macabre pilot that Stefano did after the cancelation of the show.
He used the same cast and crew.

Include not only all the 49 episodes, but also the original pilot "Please Stand By", the unaired version of "The Forms of Things Unknown" ("The Unknown"), and original promos as Bonus Features which the original set did not include.

"Beach head" being the first episode of THE INVADERS, or ...?

Now there's a program's score needs a CD, THE INVADERS (1967-68) a Quinn Martin Production.

Indeed. Watch the arrival of Vincent at night by car scenes and you'll listen to THE HAUNTED.

How interesting.

It appears that only a handful of people have actually seen Josef Stefano's unaired pilots, and you're one of the handful. To the rest of us, The Haunted isn't real until it's released and viewable.

Man, the interviews/commentaries could be great- Martin Landau, David Frankham, Martin Sheen, David McCallum, Joanna Frank, Ed Asner....etc. How many stars still survive?
