Disney should really let Tron die.

Kosinski could probably make a cardboard box look stunning.
But like many visual directors, his narrative talents are sorely lacking.

Disagree re. Disney, Kosinski, and TRON. Definitely looking forward to this. Regarding Jeff Bridges, if he was in it, to reveal such would reveal key bents of the plot, which ought not be revealed.

Can`t say I like the poster for Fury Road. The Road Warrior poster gut-stomps it.

Well, there goes a pretty important part of the story. This is shaping up to be a winner right off the bat.

Agreed with all parts of your post. Well, actually I don't mind the new poster so much, but it's certainly nothing compared to the earlier one you mention.

Wait, did I miss a TRON 2? Or are people counting the 1982 film as the first? I know TRON: LEGACY was a sequel of sorts, but wasn't it also a reboot?

Tron: Legacy is a sequel, but given the long time between movies it's also a reboot. Aside from the magnificent score, I didn't think too much of Legacy when I saw it in the theater, but it has grown on me and I got more into the movie with repeated viewings. So looking forward to the next one.

It involved no major restarting of the premise, and it didn't involve new versions of Kevin Flynn, Dumont, Yori et al, but it did pick up the story years later with Flynn's son taking the reins. So it's a sequel, not a reboot. (By that logic The Godfather Part III shouldn't be a sequel either.)

They're re-making badly-named 1990s romcoms nowadays?

I liked Tron Legacy too. Visually different from anything else Ive seen in recent memory. Cool soundtrack and sound effects too. The story and acting was a bit stale but it was an audio/visual treat.

Regarding Fury Road poster. Gee, teal and orange who would have thunk?!

As far as Logan's Run don't they have to change the title now? Latoya's Run?

ah Solium, come on now, is "cool" enough for Tron or any movie anymore?

It at least had an original artistic signature. It stood out from the rest of the muck. So I found it interesting and enjoyable on an audio and visual level. A sequel without engaging characters and story will be a bore though since the newness would have worn off.

Okay then, - since you stuck up for me on the other thread.
I think they should use a different director, that digital world thing, yeah the newness of that cool conceptual look has already been used up. They should alter they whole look.

So, does this mean that making Logan a female also means she'll be a lesbian? Can't see the Jessica character being played by a male.

Here are two words I never ever thought I would write to a post like that.

"Me too".
