Just confirmed!

Harry Gregson-Williams will attend 4th annual Film Music Prague festival on April 23rd, 2015!
He will join Fernando Velázquez in concert featuring selection of his works including many of the greatest hits such as SINBAD: LEGEND OF THE SEVEN SEAS, CHRONICLES OF NARNIA, SHREK, SPY GAME, BRIDGET JONES 2 and KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. He will also conduct selected piece(s) on the programme, which will feature Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Kuhn's Choir of Prague and soprano Markéta Mátlová.

The rest of the programme will be conducted by renowned James Shearman with exception of Fernano Velázquez's part of the programme, which will be conducted entirely by the composer himself and will feature many of his greatest hits including highly exptected world premiere of his new score for Guillermo Del Toro's CRIMSON PEAK.

The concert will also include tribute to John Powell and will present exclusive world premiere of his brand new HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 Suite as well as X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, CHICKEN RUN and ICE AGE: THE MELTDOWN.

The tickets are still available at http://www.filmmusicprague.com

He attends after all? That's great news.

I hope John Powell won't do a late confirmation too, because his decline was the main reason for skipping this. And now I have other plans this weekend. Hmmm....

Well... this won't happen again any time soon...
almost anything else can be postponed I guess.
And the tickets are still available and anyone can attend.

I've build a short four day break in Prague around this concert but trying to book tickets, on line, at the venue is proving a bit of a nightmare. I'm hoping there'll be a couple left when I get there. Not to worry if not. There's plenty else to see and hear.

Remaining tickets will be also available on sale at the concert hall right before the concert, but either way I would recommend at least some sort of reservation while you can still pick some good seats.

the reservation system is a mess but it's not that difficult... it just needs some patience.

you just have to get to:

http://www.ticketstream.cz/pls/czech/dls.dls_by_event_tr?event_id=111137&code=TICKET&language=2

you may switch to english if it is not in english already
then click on book
continue without registration
then select your seat - I would recommend the best seats at higher rows in "prizemi" section.
then confirm the number of seats you selected
and basiclly go through the checkout system then
you can print the tickets directly at home (after you complete all the steps you will receive the link to your e-mail where you can print the ticket(s).

I was thinking for the FMP's best. But I'm actually coming around on SOME of his material.

Is there anything from the Bourne trilogy played in the concert?

There is pretty much nothing available to perform live from the bourne trilogy.

FYI, the programme is listed on the website. Only the order of the pieces will be slightly different in the end and the final programme will be updated very soon.

Nice to see a suite from Spy Game being performed. What I would have *loved* to see is a long suite of all the different Tony Scott-scores by HGW (Spy Game, Enemy Of The State, Unstoppable, The Taking Of Pelham 123, Deja Vu, Domino, Man On Fire). But then of course the composer himself would have to perform on synthesizers along with the orchestra, and I guess that is not "possible" with all the computer programming and samples involved. But it sure would have been great, and a nice homage to the late Mr. Scott.

Here is a little message from Harry!

btw, if you are traveling and plan to buy the tickets at the concert hall, the sale will start one hour before the beginning of the concert, but they are disappearing quickly so better not to hesitate.
I may have two spare tickets just in case anyone can't make it in time or they sell out in the meantime.
