In regards to the film Without A Clue, MGM actually did release a DVD of the film back in 2004. It was subsequently later included in a set with two other MGM Sherlock Holmes titles: The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, and The Hound of the Baskervilles. While the DVD had a full screen print, it was still a relatively good transfer.
Yeah, the only way I've ever seen Without a Clue was on that pan-and-scan DVD which I found at the library some years back. Wonderful movie! I've long wondered if it would ever get a widescreen release and here it is -- great news!!
But it did definitely have a DVD release...however, most strangely, I can't locate the original standalone DVD release (which I've seen more than once) on Amazon at all! Its page seems to have been deleted...
