If Helen Mirren is that gung ho about being in a Fast and Furious movie, I say let her. It would be awesome, and she clearly has enthusiasm for the project.

Do we really need live action remakes of Disney cartoons? Mulan was excellent the way it was.

As long as they cast someone not way too old to play Dorothy the way the film of The Wiz did, I'm fine with that.

Helen Mirren wants to be the villain in a future FAST AND FURIOUS movie, "My great ambition is to be in a FAST AND FURIOUS movie...I so want to be a mad driver in a FAST AND FURIOUS movie. My claim to fame is I always do my own driving - I was on 'Top Gear', and I did [my lap] in a very good time. I keep putting it out there, and they never ask me. I'll be in FAST AND FURIOUS 8."

I haven't seen any of the movies in the series. Her involvement will not be the thing that breaks my streak.

SHADOW HUNTERS---ABC Family series based on the THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS books in which a girl discovers on her 18th birthday that she is a human/angel hybrid who must battle demons.

The series is from Constantin Film, who bombed at the box office with the movie version. I wish 'em luck with the small screen take.

In fairness, we've already had a live-action Mulan:

Good stuff....though I would really like the score to stick closer to the show version rather than the tame movie version....the show version has more.....spirit.....

Yeah, I rolled my eyes when I read that. I guess there's no harm and the films might be good. The girls seem to love Cinderella. It's just the whole predictable auto machine approach which is annoying.
