Gustavo Santaolalla has two
Herbert Stothart has one
John Addison has one, as does Elmer Bernstein
Jerry Goldsmith has one, and Dave Grusin also has one
Harry Sukman and Bronislau Kaper have one each
Board favourite Hans Zimmer has one
Alexandre Desplat has one, the subject of much recent speculation hereabouts
Maestro Ennio Morricone has one, earned for a lifetime’s work rather than in the normal way
Danny Elfman hasn’t got one, and neither has Patrick Doyle
Marco Beltrami, David Newman and Jerry Fielding haven’t got a single one between them
John Williams got one finally
John Barry could easily have had one, but decided against it

It might be polite to treat your answers as spoilers and black them out

Guitar Concerto?

Interesting answer, and one that I hadn't anticipated, but....no!

A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

It's obviously not an Oscar.

Good call, Thor. That's probably it.

A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

Do some people have more than one of them? And do most not get them for their lifetime's work?

I have no idea, TG! Is it a dog?

Based on the clues, it's gotta be SOMETHING related to getting an OSCAR.

MisterE71 is correct (as long as you include Maestro)!

The letter 'S'

This is correct enough - it's the S sound in the name. Hence the dispute over Monsieur Desplat.

Thanks for playing smile

Any chance you guys can do this without using spoilers?

Very difficult to follow on a mobile device, as it involves having to highlight every blacked-out block just to see what you've written, and that's not so easy to keep having to do on a small screen.

I bet you were a riot on the Sixth Sense thread....! smile

Spoilers just kept things going a little - and in fact people can still guess before they find out. I do sympathise, because the blacking out is a pain on my Playbook as well but I don't moan about it (joke!)

You earn an "S" in your name for a lifetime of work?

I'd agree that you can earn the title of "Maestro", Which has an "s" in it.

MisterE71 (mystery71?) - I note you joined today and this is your only post so far...

Welcome!

Have you lurked for a while? I presume you cracked the riddle and couldn't resist. I'd be the same...
