THERE IS NO COMPARISON FOR BOREDOM after the first 1/2 hour!

This is the STAR TREK movie that I just watch up till Spock arrives in the Courier Ship and then rewind and watch again up till that point. It's just so "who the hell cares" sleep inducing after that. For me.

Then it just becomes Goldsmith "playing the scales" Veger Theme to matte paintings and Persis Khambata in that "one more 1/2 inch and we see her vaginer outfit" till the end of the movie.

I for one love ST TMP from beginning to end. I view it like Fantasia. It's a visual and audio treat.

I have to be in a real "forgiving, passive and slightly drunk mood" to enjoy it the way you do. But there are times where I've watched and actually can make it through. Without Goldsmith's score I'd look for a rope and a chair though.

Didn't the poster for the Russell Crowe NOAH read:

"You will kick yourself for letting us talk you into seeing this piece of crap!"

More importantly, if it wasn't for Dino De, we'd never get to see Giada's jiggly tomatoes.

I don't cook but if she would only put out a dvd I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

According to the poster, the most exciting motion picture event of all time was KING KONG (1976).

Is that still the best we can do? What would you nominate?
