Tim Jones - Composer Here's a recent interview I sat for on creating the soundtrack cd. Thought you all might enjoy reading it. SOME QUESTIONS AND SOME ANSWERS How did you go about choosing the selections to go on the cd? TJ: It was actually really difficult. However, I did have a place to start. Back in Season 2, I asked Chuck fans to let me know which tracks they really liked. After getting a bunch of responses, a pattern started to emerge. Once those tracks were locked in, it was a matter of choosing the music I liked and felt best represented the show. Choosing from ninety-one episodes was not easy. There were so many I wish I could have included. In the end, I'm very happy with the tracks and I think Varesé and Warner Bros have done an amazing job on the physical disc. As a side note: There will be a digital release that contains 20+ minutes of extra score in addition to more Jeffster. Which one was the hardest selection to leave off the cd? TJ: There was an episode where Shaw kidnapped Sarah in Paris. There was a long cue that ran under that entire sequence of her coming in and out of consciousness . For some reason, I always liked that one. It was too long to include. Nice to see some Jeffster there. Where did Fat Bottom Girls come from? I don't remember hearing that on the show. TJ: The Queen track was from a Jeffster performance at Comicon. It was simply too great to leave off. Vik and Scott were amazing. Look it up on YouTube. Any idea if there will ever be a CHUCK movie and will you be a part of it? TJ: Are you kidding me? If there is ever a Chuck movie and I'm not involved, let's just say vengeance will be served. Or to put it more politely, I would love to be involved! What's the future hold for Tim Jones? TJ: You know, I have no idea what cool project may be around the corner. That is one of the interesting things about my chosen profession. Whatever it is, I pray I can always bring a sense of wonder and immense gratitude for the opportunity to write music for picture. It's quite literally, the best job in the world for me. I plan to do it for many years to come.

Just getting into this show now (awesome show, btw). Just curious whether the Varese release has a download code or anything for the additional 20 minutes of music, or is iTunes the only way to get that?
