A couple of months ago, I did a quick Web search on whether there was any news on a potential soundtrack for The Invaders by Dominic Frontiere. I have listened to two score compilations on YouTube, which I enjoy despite the background noise, but wondered if anyone else had done something similar.
While doing that search, the following link came up:
There are links at the bottom of the page to download these tracks. I am not one to click links for fear of viruses, etc., but I did type the links into my Google browser and Norton gives them a green box.
Has anyone heard of these potential rips before? Legit? Just wondered while I determine whether I want to download ... if they are the real background score, I would be delighted!
I emailed the poster on the blogspot site, but have not received a reply. I could not seem to locate the other blog listing mentioned in a post response.
I suspect that ain't legit (Frontiere's enthusiastically cooperated with previous releases of his music, so if this was legitimate I doubt he wouldn't have been involved).
Yes, the blogger indicated it seemed to be some type of high-quality rip ... and that it seems to have been around for quite a while ... I wondered if anyone had heard or heard of these tracks before ...
what exactly do you want to know? I believe they were made by playing the dvds in a computer and copying them with a real-time audio recorder. They were regular mono audio dvds (there are no 5.1 dvds); might have been PAL format as I think they were made before the USA dvds were released. The blogger didnt know what he was talking about. I havent played any youtube clips, but it's probably comparable in terms of background noise.
I think those links are safe, and you might still enjoy hearing the music "as is." You get used to the edits and immersed in the music. Looks like Charles made two youtube compilations, probably the ones you mentioned.
