Same make-up artist. As I recall the makeup he used to age our hero on the TV series before the movie was made became sort of a test run for the old age make-up he eventually used on Hoffman (Dustin, that it, not "Doctor"). He probably should have used a brush and some highlighter to fill in some of those dark shadows, though.
