I don't know if he still does, but ELLIOT GOLDENTHAL used to collect corners. I met him on his 50th birthday and handed him a blank sheet of A4 paper. What's this, he asked. For you, I said, four corners for your birthday! Elliot gave me a cheeky smile, and pulled a little pair of scissors out of his suit pocket and started snipping at the sheet of paper. I swear to god, he turned the four corners I gave him into close to a thousand in just a few minutes. Pure genius. Although I spotted Julie Taymor watching us with a worried look on her face. And he drastically cut his film assignments around then, so I think the whole thing got out of hand.

Gerald Fried loved baseball but never scored a feature film that dealt with the sport (to the best of my knowledge).

Such as Claude Debussy's love of the sea?

Debussy loved cats. It's been said that he preferred cats to people. smile

So Madame Debussy was no higher than 3 on his love list!!
