MONDAY, JANUARY 26

STAR WARS---spoiler alert (see below).

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON---spoiler alert (see below).

BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE---spoiler alert (see below).

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST---Emma Watson confirmed she will star in Disney's live-action remake of its classic animated movie, "I will be playing Belle in Disney's new live-action Beauty and the Beast! It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to 'Be Our Guest' and sing 'Something There'. My six year old self is on the ceiling—heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons." Bill Condon (DREAMGIRLS) is the director.

TERMINATOR GENISYS---the reboot movie had a fight between Arnold Schwarzenegger's older Guardian and his CGI-generated Terminator from the original 1984 movie. However, the production company wasn't happy with the scene, so they restaged the fight with both Terminators being CGI-generated, “The young digitally enhanced T-800 is doing a forward lunge double fist punch and/or crushing the aged T-800’s face, with both its knuckles pile-driving into the real Arnold Schwarzenegger’s metal skull, like something out of a wrestling match. The aged T-800 has its left arm locked under the T-800’s right shoulder as if it is going to make a deadly move on the younger T-800.”

RIDICULOUS 6---Netflix comedy Western movie underway with the cast of Adam Sandler, Nick Nolte, Taylor Lautner, Luke Wilson, Dan Ackroyd, Steve Buscemi, Jon Lovitz, Whitney Cummings, Blake Shelton, Rob Schneider and Steve Zahn.

GOTHAM---Colm Feore (THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2) will play The Dollmaker. Also, Ben McKenzie previewed future episodes, "I am mostly excited for people to finally see the Penguin and the Riddler meet. It's been a long time coming." Also, the origin story of Scarecrow and Robin's parents.

THE PUNISHER---Thomas Jane commented on returning for another movie now that Marvel Studios has the rights, "With the right story - I'd do it again. Yeah."

JUSTICE LEAGUE: DARK---rumors say characters in the Guillermo del Toro/Warner Bros. movie include John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman and Jason Blood.

HEROES REBORN---Zachary Quinto said he's not returning for the NBC miniseries, “I’m not going back. [Series creator] Tim [Kring] reached out to me when they decided they were going to do it. We had a great conversation. It was such a meaningful experience for me – I loved that job, I loved those people…. I just felt like I didn’t want to go back to it…Tim was very, very understanding and supportive.

THE CROW---Luke Evans has officially left the remake movie due to schedule conflicts.

PATIENT ZERO---Stanley Tucci will play the villain in this movie about the survivor of a global rabies pandemic who seeks a cure to save his infected wife and mankind. Matt Smith and Natalie Dormer also star.

1944---Estonian-German World War II movie about the Battle of Tannenberg, one of the bloodiest battles of the Eastern front as seen from the perspectives of an Estonian soldier fighting for Germany and a soldier from the Soviet Union.

THE STRANGERS---Marcel Langenegger is in negotiations to direct the sequel to the 2008 home invasion movie.

STAR WARS---The latest rumor about the spinoff movie says the plot isn't about bounty hunters stealing the plans for a new Death Star as rumored earlier, but will be about the relationship between Han Solo, Boba Fett and the Hutts with bounty hunters playing a big part. The spinoff movie might be used to "kick off a new series of Star Wars movies."

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON---a rumor said the mysterious woman disrobing in the cave shown in the second trailer is Mantis. The rumor's source said Andy Serkis' character is Ulysses Klaw with traits of Fritz Klave, "Fritz could possibly have a small appearance in the film or a passing reference, but most of his attributes will be given to Serkis' Klaw."

BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE---a rumor says the sequel will have Lex Luthor experimenting on Gen. Zod's body in order to defeat Superman. The experiment "triggers the Doomsday genome" which brings Zod back to life as villain Doomsday.
Also, Amy Adams said about appearing with Ben Affleck as Batman, "He is going to be his own unique thing. He's got a wonderful quality and a great body of work. I was only in one scene with him, I think I'm allowed to say that. So I didn't get to see much, but what I saw was fantastic."

Wow, another girl that looks like a boy playing a beautiful princess. Hollywood sure hates pretty girls.

None of the TERMINATOR sequels have been shitty. In fact, they've all held a surprisingly high level (yes, that includes TERMINATOR: SALVATION). But I'm a bit worried about that all-CGI battle as described in the post above. Let's hope they'll keep it grounded and organic enough.

The only Terminator I really loved was the original. All of the other sequels have some good things about them, some bad things about them. Hard to tarnish a legacy that was not really strong in the first place.

I think the Terminator series is better than many others like Alien, Predator, Robocop, or Matrix. All the Terminator films are watchable and the second one is what movie making is all about. Just fantastic.

A 67 year old actor fighting a CGI double of himself....

Here we go, 'correcting' opinions again. Just because you liked them doesn't make it wrong not to.

Here are my opinions!

Termnator 3 was a joke, a far-too-comedic remake of T2. I enjoyed Salvation, but only because of Marcus' arc. Bale didn't work as Connor. At all. But he was a huge improvement over Stahl.

That being said, T5 looks like an unmitigated disaster. The trailer was the worst I've seen in a long time. The whole thing looks like a mishmash of elements from the first two with a sprinkling of 21st century bullshit on top.

I have zero interest. It's time to let it go and has been since July of 1991. Judging from what's awaiting us, we're only goig downhill even further from here. (And judging by the success of Star Wars Trek, this will probably be the one that has the success Warner Bros. has been looking for and all the others will take after it. Though I really hope it bombs. Bad.)

That is idiotic. And I certainly hope you would never say that to a woman in person.

Wow, a little sensitive are we? An actor is a celebrity. They are open to public scrutiny regarding the roles they play. Skill and looks are open for debate. Anyway feel free to block me if you haven't already.

but you're not saying that stuff for any REASON other than to be a churlish and insubordinate turd.

You don't *add* anything to the discussion, then get all butt-hurt and defensive when called on it?

Get outta here.

Oh, do you feel good calling other members a turd? Classic holier than thou hypocrites on this board. She doesn't have the looks for the part. That's the reason.

And FYI, Emma thinks she looks like a boy and loves it.

Apology excepted.

All I've read are personal attacks and snarky remarks. Yet your the voices of civility? Oh and Emma agrees with me.

Since I am already on everyone's ignore list, I think I can post here without soliciting rather jaded and pot and kettle remarks.

I can understand Solium's point and also see the weak argumentation against it, if you can most of it so. Many of the responses are of the caliber used on the Conan O'Brien show Arnold Schwarzenegger skit (i.e. "you're a - fill in word used by opposing party-").
Emma Watson in that picture has a quite a Michael J. Fox as his daughter in "Bttf II" about her. It might be that she tries to portray the vamp to hard and, like many girls trying to act older or bolder than they are (or maybe ever will be), totally misses her target, resulting in something that's at best laughable but usually a turn off instead of on
.
It always irritated me that you have to find nigh on every woman attractive and that the issue of attraction becomes a non-debatable when a women is well known. Remember the supermodels? Remember Julia Roberts? Oy vey! Julia Roberts is pretty woman?! Give me a break, she was well marketed and all of a sudden it was law to find her attractive. This by little argument other than continuous repetition, marketing and mindless recitals of clichés.
If she had appeared in a few "Pretty woman"- like hits, and had been made the "face of Chanel" or the sorts, it wouldn't even be debatable anymore that Hillary Swank looks like boy. Which she does, boy does she look like one.

D.S.

I'm not a fan of Emma Watson, but saying she looks like a boy is just silly.
