I couldn't find the thread with composer lookalike photos but I saw this guy in downtown Boca Raton today. He's even got the right ensemble!

Are those bullets in his belt (in order to silence nasty film music critics)?

This ISN'T Jerry Goldsmith?????

Well, I'm spooked. If I could post a good photo of a Rod Serling lookalike right now I would.

I have seen 2 Goldsmith lookalikes in my days. The first when I lived in Burbank there was a guy who always walked on Olive Ave, close to D.B. Coopers who sported the Pony Tail and the dark glasses and who had a dog on a leash as well. And this was around 1998 - 2003 when Jerry was still with us. Could it have been him?

The second Goldsmith lookalike sighting was in Campbell California, close to the school where I work near San Tomas Blvd. and Campbell Ave. I'd see a guy looking much like the one described above, again with a dog. I was tempted in both cases to pull over and ask the guy if he had ever heard of Jerry Goldsmith and if I could take a photo with or of him. Never did.

But this one posted here is truly amazing!

No matter, JERRY GOLDSMITH LIVES!

He, he....a bit more broadshouldered than JG was, but agreed -- that was uncanny. I would have loved to see the rest of his face.

I'm just wondering if these guys were in fact Jerry Goldsmith admirer's to the max who just wanted to look like him and be him, thus taking on his look. There are crazy people in the world like that. Most likely they just coincidently had his look and knew nothing of him.

Jerry always seemed to favor the white tennis shoes over sandals though wink. But the guy in the photo especially from the side profile is almost spot on. And it looks like he's even wearing a bracelet on his wrist just like Jerry used to.

1. We know waaaaaay too much about how Goldsmith dressed.

2. I saw a Jerry lookalike at work a while back. Not as good as this one, but still creepy. I've also seen a Joel Goldsmith and a Bernstein.

the hair is a little too white for the era, but the face matches pretty closely a Jerry from a while back, say early 80's.

That's self-proclaimed gantse macher "Murray Goldsmith," Jerry's cousin. Don't let the sandals and pony tail fool you, actually a major Boca Raton alter kocker, Murray has been known to steal all the packets of Sweet & Low off the tables during the early bird hour at Red Lobster. The only thing he's known to compose are long lists of things to kvetsh about, like the humidity and all the goyim at the mall. Mention to him his late, alrightnik cousin, Jerry, and all you're likely to hear back is a good "Gay Kocken Offen Yom." He prefers John Williams.
