We weren't tipped of about it until the past 24 hours, but last Saturday - on a post at his Facebook page talking about a brief cast reunion on the 20th (two days ago) on the Good Day L.A. show, following by appearances this weekend (23rd through 25th) at "The Hollywood Show" event at Westin Hotel LAX, Bill Mumy commented, not once but twice, that there's an exciting new home video release coming later this year for Lost In Space:
Mumy, who played young "Will Robinson" on the program (and went on to appear as an adult in over 100 episodes of Babylon 5), has leaked this info before any formal announcement from the studio; we've heard nothing official (or unofficial, for that matter) from Fox.
It's also a long way until September, and if such plans are truly in-the-works, then planned timeframes could also change as the work progresses. But right now we're passing along Mumy's info, and hoping that the evil (if bumbling) Dr. Smith doesn't sabotage the Blu-ray plans. Stay tuned for updates, as further developments come to light!
