Well, plans don't always go as swimmingly as one would hope, but I'm going to try and create a catch-all thread for people who need help identifyingmusic, so we can keep track of it and not post thread after thread after thread and lose track (if you know what I mean).

I'll start off with a request of my own. Can anybody recognize this music at 16:32 in the video?

Nice idea justin. And the biggest culprit was already asked to put in one thread, said he would, then promptly posted about 8 threads for different bits of music!! Most if which i cant access on zippy coz it sends suspicious spam to my phone.

Can i suggest you change the title to the "Help Identify this Music thread?" Then hopefully it will keep getting bumped.
If it eventually gets to clogged with utoob clips you can always start another thread.

I myself am dying to know what the beautiful, John Scott/John Barry fusion theme which opens and closes this cheesy trailer is:

Okay, this thread was started by Justin Boggan and is about identifying unknown score cues.

bobbengan, that trailer may be "cheesy," but the background music is gorgeous and somewhat familiar. I just can't place it. I feel like someone here might recognize it. It is a very clear and lovely theme.

Isn't it though!?!? An instantly memorable theme. It sounds a LOT like John Scott but it's definitely not from any score of his that I've ever heard. It feels somehow very iconic. I'm hoping someone out there will be able to recognize it!

No idea, bobbengan.

The YT timestamps stopped working for me and some other people about a year ago. Donm't know why.

Anybody recognize the score in this episode of "M*A*S*H"? No composer is credited and I don't recall this from any previous episode:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nG3gB6IWrwo (9:50 in; a few seconds before it begins)

I love this cue -- I sure hope that maybe it's on some music library site and can be heard apart from the SFX.

It's called "The Jump... To Wales" from the 1998 movie "The Theory of Flight".

Can anybody identify this beautiful Delerue-ish piece? It's an excerpt (that's all there was).

That is Bach.

Specifically a Scicilienne from the Flute Sonata No. 2, BWV 1031

Thank you very much. That's what I get for not even making at least even an effort to sample every piece he's done that available.

Anybody recognize the piano music in the first 15 seconds of this commercial?

And this commercial. I think it's obvious it's library music -- maybe somebody here has heard it before and knows. Almost twenty seconds of the end are SFX free.
