NETTWERK TO RELEASE THE ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK TO STILL ALICE, STARRING 2015 GOLDEN GLOBE WINNER JULIANNE MOORE

ORIGINAL FILM SCORE BY BRITISH COMPOSER ILAN ESHKERI AVAILABLE ON JANUARY 13, 2015

“[The] score from British composer Ilan Eshkeri doesn’t tell you how to feel, but rather how [Alice] feels: lost, emotional and anxious most of the time.” – Peter Debruge, Variety

“The score, by Ilan Eshkeri, is also a standout, covering everything from beautiful notes in near-silence to sequences that are meant to — and do — evoke Alice's confusion and loss.” – James Rocchi, The Wrap

“Still Alice has an exceptionally lovely, yearning score by Ilan Eshkeri for violin, viola, cello, and piano.” – David Edelstein, New York Magazine's Vulture

December 17, 2014 (Los Angeles, CA) -- Nettwerk is proud to release the Still Alice: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on January 13, just a few days before the wide opening of the film on January 16. Composed by acclaimed British composer Ilan Eshkeri (The Young Victoria, Stardust), the score has already received critical praise for its beautiful accentuation of the film’s highly emotional journey, which follows Alice Howland (portrayed by 2015 Golden Globe winner Julianne Moore) as she struggles with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. The album will also feature a cover of Lyle Lovett’s “If I Had A Boat” by British musician Karen Elson, which plays during the credits at the end of the film.

Ilan Eshkeri is an award-winning British composer known for his film scores to Stardust, The Young Victoria and Kick-Ass, as well as his many collaborations with recording artists and his concert work. Last Christmas saw Eshkeri’s score The Snowman and The Snowdog, the sequel to the British animated classic The Snowman, for which he earned BAFTA nomination.

Directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland, Still Alice centers around Alice Howland (Julianne Moore), who is happily married (to Alec Baldwin) with three grown children (played by Kristen Stewart, Kate Bosworth and Hunter Parrish). Alice is a renowned linguistics professor who starts to forget words. When she receives a diagnosis of Early-Onset Alzheimer's Disease, Alice and her family find their bonds thoroughly tested. Her struggle to stay connected to who she once was is frightening, heartbreaking, and inspiring.

Very much looking forward to seeing this movie and hearing this score...

Not to demean the CD's quality or anything, but 23mn ? Including a 4mn end credit song unrelated to Ilan Eshkeri's work ?
At a regular price ?

A minor quibble, i know...
