I can't think of 10, but I'll add:

"The Sugarland Express" (John Williams -- at least as far as I know, it's unreleased.)

From this recent thread:
http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=107261&forumID=1&archive=0

Here are ten titles, if I had to force it down to ten, that are unreleased that I really want released; in no special order:

1. "Muloorina" (short film; John Barry)
2. "Duel" (Billy Goldenberg)
3. "P.J." (Neal Hefti; and I'd like to hear both rejected scores, by Dave Grusin and Percy Faith)
4. "Darker Than Amber" (John Parker)
5. "When Eight Bells Toll" (Angela Morley)
6. "Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here" (Dave Grusin; and I'd like to hear the two rejected scores by Jimmy Webb and Patrick Williams)
7. "American Journeys" (short film; Basil Poledouris)
8. "Making Contact" (Paul Gilreath)
9. "Guilty as Sin" (Howard Shore)
10. "Psycho" (Herrmann, original; with today's mastering tech', mastering from stems should yeild fanstastic results)

I ruled out TV series since those are multiple titles in one. This was a hard list!

I also can't think of 10, but I'll add Hugo Friedhofer's score for Joan of Arc.

I am sure there are plenty of original soundtracks unreleased.... though most of them I don't actually miss.
So I try to come up with a list of 10 original soundtracks I'd actually be interested in:

1. Damnation Alley (Jerry Goldsmith)
2. 5 Card Stud (Maurice Jarre)
3. The Good Guys and the Bad Guys (William Lava)

These are three I'd go out and buy. Though I don't think a release of them is likely.

Interesting...if you had to make the same list 10 years ago it would have been much easier...who said the soundtrack market has been overcrowded with releases in the past few years?

I can only think of one, and that is Spider-man 3. I think Christopher Young did an excellent job on that film.

(Also I would love a Jaws 2 release, but that is technically not an unreleased score.)

I was thinking ... but today, were released more original soundtracks than 10 years ago, right ... so it would not be easier today choose 10?
