This Herrmann piece from "The McGregor Affair" Alfred Hitchcock Hour Episode reminds me of some of the Goldsmith scored THRILLER episodes like "Hay Fork and Bill Hook and The Poisoner amongst others.
I just picked up Vol. II and will be getting Vol. I soon. Can't believe I never got these when first released. Vol. III which has no Herrmann Scores but features others is SOLD OUT.
The two Herrmann sets are both great, although volume 2 has perhaps the stronger lineup of episodes.
Since I think that the episode "The McGregor Affair" is quite dull, it is wonderful to have Herrmann's fine score for it available separately from the episode itself.
