FRIDAY, DECEMBER 19

AMERICAN SNIPER---new trailer released for the Clint Eastwood movie starring Bradley Cooper which premiers on Christmas Day.

Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bP1f_1o-zo

JURASSIC WORLD---new photo released from the sequel. Also, director Colin Trevorrow commented on the sequel's new villain, a genetically-engineered, hybrid dinosaur, "There are dinosaurs and there’s the other—there’s this thing that is not one of them, that is not of them. There’s a lot of bold new ideas in the movie and I’m pushing it as far forward as I can. I know Steven [Spielberg] didn’t want me to make a carbon copy of the earlier films. So we’re going for it.”

SEXIEST WOMAN ALIVE---supermodel Kate Upton was named as the Sexiest Woman Alive at the first People Magazine Awards. Upton said, "This is such an honor to me because sexy to me means someone who's confident and happy." Acting awards went to Jennifer Aniston (CAKE) and Michael Keaton (BIRDMAN).

THE GREAT WALL---Pedro Pascal (GAME OF THRONES) is in negotiations to co-star with Matt Damon in this movie. Set in the 15th century, British soldiers discover Chinese workers hurriedly building the Great Wall to keep out Mongols---and monstrous, inhuman creatures. Bryan Cranston is no longer involved with the movie.

FIRE AND ICE---Robert Rodriguez/Sony Pictures live-action remake underway of the 1983 Ralph Bakshi animated fantasy movie.

DOCTOR WHO---Steven Moffat said he might resurrect two characters from the series, "Both River Song and Jack Harkness are massive characters in DOCTOR WHO mythology. Their returns would have to be seismic, not routine. Sometimes you have to know when a story's over, you do. One of the things you always want to say is 'leave them wanting more.'"

ORPHAN BLACK---co-creator Graeme Manson said Season 3 will pick up where Season 2 ended with Sarah Manning meeting the new male clones, “The boy’s name is Rudy. And obviously Rudy—or Scarface, as we call him in the writer’s room—is not Mark, who is the other Castor clone that we’ve known before. So immediately that poses a bunch of questions for us: How are they different? How are they the same, these brothers? And what the heck is Mark up to? Is Mark a traitor? Is Mark undercover? Like everyone else on Orphan Black, Mark has divided loyalties.” The BBC America premiere is on April 18.

FORTITUDE---Pivot's first scripted drama series stars Stanley Tucci, Richard Dormer, Michael Gambon and Christopher Eccleston. A chief of police and a forensic detective investigate a shocking murder in the Arctic town of Fortitude. Premiere is January 29.

WONDER WOMAN---writer Arash Amel (GRACE OF MONACO) tweeted, "Someone just told me six writers have been hired to simultaneously write six versions of Wonder Woman movie. WHAT?"

TRANSFORMERS---Mark Wahlberg confirmed he's returning to the franchise, "Yeah, I committed to doing a couple more. I can't speak for Mr. Bay, but something tells me we'll be on set soon."

AFTERLIFE WITH ARCHIE---Jon Goldwater of Archie Comics commented on a movie or tv project based on the comic book in which Archie leads a group of survivors after a zombie apocalypse in Riverdale, "As for film and TV - the answer is YES! Absolutely! This is something that will be happening at some point in the near future - nothing to announce just yet, but rest assured it will happen."

LIVING FOR VIDEO---HBO pilot about crew members of the early music videos of the 1980s. David Fincher (GONE GIRL) is the director.

The comic is, for lack of a better word, amazeballs. Can't help but think a movie or TV show might spoil that.

If he doesn't mess it up American Sniper may be Eastwood's best since Unforgiven.

Pretty sure Upton's are real. Not that I have first hand knowledge.

But I have umm, experience with ahhh... implants, and they can be just fine razz

But all this sexiest so-and-so alive it ridiculous, really. She's fine, but not the sexiest woman alive. But she IS a better choice than Megan Fox or Mila Kunis who somehow wind up on these kinds of lists without having an ounce of sex appeal. big grin

Maybe the next time she pops into Comerica Park to watch her boyfriend Justin Verlander pitch for the Tigers I can drool some more, Justin is a lucky guy. Kate's uncle is Congressman Fred Upton of Michigan.
