I won't get into the history of this whole thing, but for more than a decade I've been welcomed to radio show every now and then to have my 15 minutes of fame. That is to say a fifteen-minute set during which I can play any music I want to. Knowing myself as well as I do, I like to play scores. I've never much advertised my radio visitings, even to close friends, as I don't want to make myself look or sound like a Celebrity, but now I thought I might as well give a heads-up here, as I don't know any of you and most of you live on a different timezone and none of you will understand what I'll be saying (it shall be in Finnish). Lately, I've been getting 30-minute sets. Next set: tomorrow, Saturday 13th of December 2014. time: around 14.30 (or 2.30 PM) LOCAL TIME (FINLAND), as in around 2.30 AM PST (Pacific Standard Time). Please search for your local time yourself in case you're interested. how to listen: go to www.radiohelsinki.fi, you can click the "(play symbol)" next to RADIO HELSINKI logo in top banner. on iTunes, Open Stream, "http://radio.radiohelsinki.fi" VLC Player, Open Network, "http://radio.radiohelsinki.fi" So please have a listen if you're interested. I'll be playing music from every decade from 1950's to 2010's, 1958 being the oldest and 2014 the newest, from American and European composers. I think most of you will find at least one track you'll like. I'll post my playlist here after the show, at some point, so you can listen for yourself what a Finnish duderino would play on a Finnish radio show.

Just in case someone'll give this thing a listen, please feel free to leave feedback, good or bad. I'll be musically touching on a subject that's a thread in here. Such a thread comes every year, usually towards the end of that year, preferably when year has passed. I won't reveal the "theme" for my set quite yet, but I will post a question here as to what would you play given the same 'heading' so to speak.

Not much interest, but herez the playlist. Norppa, the host, gave me a heading for my part of the show: "the best of 2014 (what I've bought)". Preparing for it, the thing became a retrospective from 1958-2014. Bernard Herrmann: The 7th Voyage Of Sinbad - Overture (Long Version= Elmer Bernstein: Walk On The Wild Side - Finale Jerry Goldsmith: The Great Train Robbery - End Titles Georges Delerue: La Révolution Française - Les années terribles (Hymne à la Liberté) (Disc 2, Track 30) Maurice Jarre: Solar Crisis - End Credits Klaus Badelt: The Promise (Wu Ji) - Freedom Of The Wa Jeff Russo: Fargo - Bemidji, MN (Fargo Series Main Theme) So it was the best of 2014 orders, and as such, a retrospective from 1950-2010 in chronological order, and as such, first, three jews of Hollywood (all dead), then, two frenchmen of Europe (all dead), then, some other dudes from Where-ever(all living). I love the jews and their music. I love the french and their music. I love the other dudes and their music.
