some of you will recall an old Norman Wisdom sketch from one of his films - where he is the sandwich board man in black suit and tailsa who eats a candy floss in the alley behind the concert theatre - as hes sitting on the stage door step the theatre manager says There you are maestro!! and thrusts Norman out on the podium! Usual merriment ensues.
-- so no idea what the thread was about. As for your vid Bill me old mucker, while Norman was funny, I had this feeling of déjà vu; remember this Bugs Bunny classic made 6 years earlier:
Damn, I wish he had done something with it! Basically the missing video is the exact same conducting piece Jerry Lewis did in THE BELLBOY except when he touches the baton things turn black & white and his walk up to the podium is accompanied by Rozsa's FEDORA. I was expecting a twist or more elaborate embellishments. As is (I can't believe I am saying this) I would prefer to watch Lewis do it.
