I just saw the 1989 film on youtube, only to get a good listen to Jay Ferguson's unreleased score. A good score indeed which really deserves a release on CD. I thought the film would be a bit more song-heavy, but it's actually the score which is the most important part - I guess there were at least 45 minutes of score in the film. Much of it is somehow an early version of Ferguson's Double Dragon from 1993, which at least got a partly score release on Milan. Other parts reminded me slightly of Paul Hertzog's music from films like Bloodsport and Kickboxer. Come on labels, give us Jay Ferguson's Gleaming The Cube! I guess a 1000 copy deal would be nice.
