Based on the thread title (and it's a good idea for a thread), I'd say Interstellar for me. I've been so underwhelmed by so much of Zimmer's work, especially lately, but this score I found to be very powerful and effective in the film. Best use of organ for space travel since Goldsmith's Star Trek: The Motion Picture? Yavar

I was just listening to it this morning; Michael Small's CHILD'S PLAY from Intrada. For me it was a discovery on the level of EYE OF THE DEVIL.

Best use of organ for space travel since Goldsmith's Star Trek: The Motion Picture? Yavar Could be. But there's also Morricone's MISSION TO MARS. And also 2001 and SOLARIS if you go further back. Everyone goes on about Mission to Mars in the context of Interstellar but I don't hear it. Morricone was using the organ directly for suspense - it's only in one scene, isn't it, the Tim Robbins-in-space one? But Zimmer's using it for grandeur, maybe some religioso aspect.
