Yup, happy Thanksgiving you rebels, so that does mean it's turkey tonight? We've sort of adopted some of it in the UK. Black Friday, there's been some great offers all week from Amazon UK (I bought seasons 1-4 of The Walking Dead Blu-ray for £36 - that's the cost of one & a half soundtrack CD's from America!). And a lot of Black Friday sales tomorrow, I'm off uptown tomorrow on the hunt for a microwave in the sales.

Heh heh - I can't pretend to be excited about the Morrisons Black Friday sale! Crap vegetables at 20% off are still crap.

I received a Thanksgiving email promotion from Robinson's, a Northern Ireland shoe shop where I bought a pair of Loakes last year. I guess they have to market their product according to where they're selling the stuff.

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow compatriots.

My tradition is to watch the first two Godfather films while munching on a Mrs Smiths pumpkin pie. Entertainment heaven.

I don't know which is funnier: you eating an entire pie on your way to becoming that bear from The Edge or that you don't bother watching The Godfather Part III (it's really not that bad a film)

Well, the pie is only 7 inches in diameter, so it's basically like one large slice. Sort of like a "personal pan pizza" at Pizza Hut. smile

It's been a fine day here. My fiancée, our dog and I spent it at home, with my fiancée's visiting mom, and had a very traditional dinner. We watched Thanksgiving episodes of The West Wing and parts of Shout! Factory's internet streaming Mystery Science Theater 3000 Turkey Day marathon, played a newish board game (Machi Koro), and generally had a lovely day. I hope all yours were as well.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving day with family and friends. I worked all day today, got home around 8pm, had some McDonalds big grin The little lady and her mom went out to eat today at Cracker Barrel. Since there's really only 3 of us now, we decided to not have a big meal, save it for Christmas.

Had some ice cream too. Let the cat have a bit as his treat.

Thanks, Joe, and Happy Thanksgiving to all. We had a nice relaxing day (says the guy who didn't have to do any cooking) and then went to my awesome mother-in-law's place for a delicious dinner. Lucky guy am I!

That shop is actually just down the road from where I live, Jimbo. I'll have to tell Robin his store has been mentioned in these circleswink

Really? Have you bought shoes from Robinson's? You can also tell them that breaking in those Loake Chester tans was a bitch but they're finally feeling great now. However, that took months!

Oh, and when it comes time to re-soul those lovelies, I can send you round to the shop to keep tabs on their progress. wink

I'll get you a discount! I own a fine pair of black Loake Chelsea Boots which I bought there last year. I'm friendly with the owner's daughter, she happens to serve me beer in my localwink
