For those of you who don't know, the Producer of Harry Potter has put together a movie version of Michael Bond's beloved British children's books Paddington Bear, it looks silly but good fun and has been getting decent reviews and has a fantastic cast. Here's a trailer (not sure how to embed):

The score is by one of my favourite new composers on the scene, Nick Urata (from the band Devotchka), who has been working pretty much exclusively in indie comedies up to now. I'm delighted that he's got a higher profile assignment here, and the score sounds lovely from the samples, retaining his usual sound with some extra orchestral colours, I'm looking forward to getting home from work and downloading the full score.

Not sure if a CD release is coming, an article on Filmmusicreporter.com mentioned an album being released by Decca in the UK on December 15th. It didn't mention the format, but since the digital album is out right now I'd say the chances are good!
