Warner Bros. will release latest Joe Wright/Dario Marianelli's movie next summer... The trailer was just released:

Soundtrack album on Watertower...
Well finally at least something that should get released after months/years of negligence.

Not sure how I feel about the trailer but I can't wait to see it and hear a beautiful Marianelli score with it.

I was really surprised by how 'big' he could write for 'The Boxtrolls' so I'm expecting great things from Marianelli for this score!

Sounds like generic over wrought trailer library music.

Yes, lets have another " Peter Pan " ! Really original.

The film looks weird and pretty awful.

While I was largely disappointed by two of his most recent efforts -- THE BOXTROLLS and ANNA KARENINA -- I'm a big fan of his earlier work, especially JANE EYRE and SALMON FISHING IN YEMEN.

I have high hopes for this.

So . . . a poster has popped up with John Powell's name instead of Marianelli's. It seems too obscure to be random internet wankery, and nothing has been announced, but . . .

If that is accurate, good! No one does horns like Powell these days.

There's an identical poster with Marianelli's name on it, weird.

On the one hand, I'd hate for this composer/director team to have been upset (haven't seen any of Wright's other movies; it's the principle).

On the other, a John Powell Peter Pan score? Hell yes!

NO WAY.

Marianelli should be the one for this project!

Both are good, but I hope they stick with Marianelli. I'm eager to hear him reawaken my enthusiasm for him after the disappointing (for me) ANNA KARENINA and THE BOXTROLLS.

That would be fascinating, especially in the wake of Tyler/Elfman and Beltrami/Glass.
