I bought the three disc Blu-ray theatrical set for £6 in a shop called Fopp in London, that'll do for me. I wasn't interested in the longer versions, & I prefer the look of the shorter part one, it's not quite as sharp, but the longer version is too green & dark for me. There are lots of grain lovers online, they think a film doesn't look right unless they see a lot of grain moving about, even though the film is not supposed to look like that, & didn't in the cinema. And in nearly fifty years of working in a film lab & on telecine, sparkle (as we used to call it) was the bane of my life. After all that time of looking out for it, I see every mark now, & it really does show up in HD. A lot of older films really should have a clean-up, a two day de-spot session would work wonders.
