John, your retrospection has the strongest set of reverberations I can recall ever reading here at FSM. In enumerable ways you bring clarity to questions of Ron’s “passionate” urgency to reel off so large amount of commentary in so short a time. Thank you for sharing.
John, I am the one who sadly came across Ron's brief obituary and shared it on FSM. I was saddened by the loss and beyond that, was mystified by the dearth of information in the notice. I had this vision of Ron as a robust, compassionate individual who craved independence and lived life to the fullest. I had no contact with him other than on the board so this was merely a supposition. After reading your heartfelt and honest missive, I feel like I now know Ron a bit better and miss his presence more. The cursory, somewhat cold death notice bothered me to the point that I hoped that someone would deliver a celebratory eulogy that really summed up Ron's life. I know now that someone has and it is you John. Thanks to you, we now know him better and miss him more. I hope he knows that he was appreciated by us. Thank you John.
