I honestly wasn't expecting them to include both the deleted Clair de Lune segment and the Irwin Kostal recording. I'm not sure about the Sterling Holloway narrated tracks, though I may definitely buy this.

I'm not sure about the Sterling Holloway narrated tracks... Trusssssst in him. Well, I'll give them a listen if I get the album (especially considering how great an actor he is), though I'm confused as to why they included Peter and the Wolf since that's not in Fantasia (although I've read it was paired with the film during its 1947 reissue). If they were going to include classical excerpts from the package films, they might as well have included the Bumble Boogie cue from Melody Time since it's basically a jazz version of Flight of the Bumblebee. Slightly off topic, but your Kaa reference reminds me that I still need to give Rozsa's Jungle Book score a good listen.

It looks like this collection is really starting to get back on track. I honestly wasn't expecting them to include both the deleted Clair de Lune segment and the Irwin Kostal recording. I'm not sure about the Sterling Holloway narrated tracks, though I may definitely buy this. The inclusion of the Irwin Kostal re-recording is the best soundtrack news I've had since the announcement of Star Trek: The Original Series Soundtrack Collection. That double-LP helped me get through high school. Having not purchased any of The Legacy Collection so far, I don't know who the assembly/engineering/mastering crew are. I've heard that Neil Bulk and Bruce Botnick have been handling it. If that's true for this project, it's going to be an all-around delight. Anyone know who the actual production personnel are?
