Happy about the golden agers Young and Rozsa. DonĀ“t own the Stanyan Edition so "Bells" was a "must have" for me. Silvestri also rocks and the Rozsa will be a Christmas present for a good friend. 3 of 4, not that bad

Surely the logical Goldsmith score to follow up with would be Gremlins 2 - Complete! Yavar

Wow. Between VS and LLL, this has been the worst Christmas season since I started collecting, IMHO. Disagree. Both labels have released interesting batches this Christmas. I'll be going for: Shaft The Passion Of The Christ Peggy Sue Got Married Fedora

I think this is Varese's best Club release set for quite a long time. Cheers I would say this a huge step from past years and I am pretty sure DrivingMissDaisy had something to do. It's a highlight the fact they are shipping away at the moment. Still, I am not convinced this is such a great batch, let me explain myself: I clap "Fedora" and "For whom the Bell Tolls", sure there aren't many people interested and it's risky to release them but it's nice to see such under appreciate scores for sale. Now, the other two are "Peggy Sue got Married" and "Predator 2". I am ok with them, I am sure there is a market for these but I am missing something... Something bigger. All of we knew "Predator 2" was coming, it was predictable and I don't buy that it is the lead release. Last year for example, we had "The Abyss" expanded which was remarkable but it wasn't the big release on that batch, that one was a Goldsmith score, "Star Trek: Nemesis" (which we also knew was coming). So the point is I am missing something new, something original, something we didn't expected. Varese has done it very well in the past: "Freud", "A Gathering of Eagles", "Family Plot"... To see "Predator 2" as the top release of this year... well, all of us knew this was coming. I am ok with this release, it's great for people who wanted it, but I'll wait for the next batch. I give a clap to Varese's newest but I am looking forward to more surprises. And please, "Gremlins 2 the New Batch" complete.
