Is anyone else ordering from Movie Grooves?

Are they still operating okay?

The reason I ask is I placed and paid for an order via PayPal and after a couple of weeks I sent an email to check on it. No reply. A week later, I emailed again. No reply.

Unfortunately there's no telephone number on the website. There is a telephone number on Facebook and PayPal but that numbers comes up disconnected.

And checking recent Facebook feedback tells stories of other unfulfilled orders.

Of course it could be just that they're waiting for shipments or maybe on holiday or something.

Any info appreciated.

Cheers

I hope they are still operating, because I just made an order with them on Saturday. The money went through today. Any of you Brits been having problems or know if they are still in business, as opposed to giving us the "business?"

Peter

I've been wondering the same thing.

Ordered a Morricone cd about a month ago. Every four or five days I've been checking it's status at their website - it's never moved past "processing". Sent an email asking what's going on with the order a little while ago but I haven't received a reply. If another week passes and they still haven't replied I'm gonna open up a claim through paypal and (hopefully) get my money back. If it is a case of them being on holiday or waiting for shipments they should at least inform people.

Don't think I'm gonna order from them again.

If you check their Facebook page, there are other complaints about unfulfilled orders.

Their telephone number is disconnected.

The website is still taking orders though, as you say. But is there anyone the other side of it?

Doesn't look good.

I was one who ordered and lost my money.

I wouldn't advise buying from here.

Mild.

I stopped buying from Movie Grooves one year ago, when it took five weeks to receive a reply on several mails I had sent concerning the shipment of an order. Six months before, I also had to wait four weeks before I got a response about the endless "processing" status of my order.

In the end, these orders arrived, but I won't return to this shop given the inadequate customer service.

Hi all,

Just to let you know, because I didn't get a response from Movie Grooves themselves, I opened a PayPal dispute which was closed within 48 hours when the vendor issued me a refund.

So, I think somebody is still there on the other side. I just don't know why they're not communicating. Or whether they're processing orders.

Cheers

The vendor issued the refund or PayPal? What happens if a vendor does not have funds in their PP account for a full refund, does PP refund the buyer in full regardless.

It's a shame that MG is not what it used to be under previous management. It was such a cool site with many unusual funky soundtracks and lots of sample music. Had purchased often with no problems. Thank you guys for the tips and sorry to hear that you are having problems. I'm sure you can get your money back if you paid through PayPal just like Stephen. Good luck.

Okay, the bloke's been in hospital. I'm sorry to hear that and I hope he recovers. But he should have taken his site off-line earlier or at the very least asked someone (his webmaster?) to put a message up on the front page of the site informing people about this so they wouldn't have been surprised when their orders never ship and there's absolutely zero communication.

The Movie Grooves website has been down for a while with a 'currently offline' message when you visit.

I checked again this morning and the message has changed.

'FINISHED !'
