Wow! That color picture is really cool. I should mention the photos in this issue are black&white, but there over 50 of them plus a mess of posters, letters and ads.
A very cool picture indeed. Weird to see a colour photo of a middle-aged Raksin. I've really only seen pics of him either as a young man (in faded b/w) or as a really old man in colours.
Hey Guys and Girls! Here's a cool Radio Show all about the 1963 Hollywood Bowl Event with Audio from it and Commentary and input from Jon Burlingame, John Mauceri and host of the show Edmund Stone.

Thanks Zooba, nice show! I had heard about Edmund Stone and his Portland, Ore. show and now I see there is access to quite a few of them.
Only nitpick is I wish Jon had corrected him when he said all these giants came together for this one concert only. One of the many fascinating things I learned in this special issue is the fact there were two concerts, one televised.

My pleasure to share. Stumbled upon it by googling "1963 Film Music Concert Hollywood Bowl." Now to find any kind of Video or Footage of the Televised Concert! That indeed would be a treasure to behold!
