Later this month we will release our 6th CD of which we are very proud - primarily because it is, in our opinion, one of the most hauntingly beautiful scores ever written for a television movie.

While no one guessed the title on our Facebook-page yet, we give it another try:

- Non-American composer
- European TV-production
- Mid 2000s
- Based on a series of well-known children's books

I don't do well in speculation games (not my cup of tea), but I wish you all the best on your upcoming release, whatever it is.

What children's books are popular? Will I show my age if I suggest Moomins, Hardy Boys or The Dark is Rising? But I have no idea what books have been adapted to European TV lately!

- not NARNIA and not NANNY MCPHEE
- the book was already adapted for the big screen in the early 60s by Disney
- composer won many BAFTA awards but is now concentrating on concert works
- premiere release
- the Main Titles was released as a re-recording a few years earlier on a sampler dedicated to the composer

A very wise guess, Mr. Fitzpatrick.

I absolutely adore this score! There's a delightful wistfulness to the music that cannot fail to appeal to Delerue and Goldsmith fans alike. Fortunately, its bucolic charm carefully eschews the lachrymal sentimentality that's marred many similar soundtracks.

Heartily recommended!

There are a few cue from this on one of Gunning's promos. Sounds very nice, will be getting this.

I do hope his gorgeous, searing drama score that is REBECCA sees the light of day at some point, too!
