CouldnĀ“t find a thread - but this wonderful score definitely deserves one.

One of my favorite soundtracks of the year so far.

Not trying to be an ass, just throwing this in here: http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=106164&forumID=1&archive=0

The best way to search the board for the time being is to go to Google, type in your search terms and then "site:filmscoremonthly.com"

It's pretty good in my book. Some of the choral chanting is too much for my chance, but elsewhere the choral work is really nice. When the heavenly choir is combined with the dissonant/brooding orchestral material, like in the opening cue, it vividly recalls Horner's BRAINSTORM for me.

There's a tragically-hewn string theme that pops up modeled rather clearly on progressions from JNH's closing theme from KING KONG, but it's still got enough original stuff going for it.

A strange mixture of Horner, JNH, Glass, maybe Korzeniowski even at times.

I still need to track down some of this guy's earlier MSM releases, which I understand are also really strong.
