For the first time, my daughter was able to purchase something on Amazon UK. It always prevented us from checking out. This time, she was able to complete the transaction. Of course, the conversion to USD was given which she anticipated but the shipping was actually a bit cheaper than Amazon USA. I hope this was not just a fluke. We will see. Maybe I am just getting to the party late - would not be the first time. smile

I'm in the UK, & for years have been buying stuff from Amazons all over the world, US, Germany, France & Italy, that's from Amazon & Amazon Marketplace. I know there's some things Amazon.com won't export, usually electronic items, & some Marketplace sellers won't export.

There are two main reasons Amazon UK would deny you:

1) You're trying to purchase region-restricted digital content
2) You're buying from a third party who doesn't offer international shipping.

Any physical item bought directly through Amazon should ship to USA.

I import Blu Rays and DVDs from Amazon UK to the US on a regular basis. I find the prices to be cheaper than stores such as Best Buy and B&N. Where possible, I will purchase region free titles, but if they aren't, it's no problem, as I have a chipped machine. As for ordering from them, I've had no issue at all.

Yeah, by digital content I meant downloads -- mp3 albums, stuff like that. Physical media I import from them too. And from Germany, France, etc -- Germany seems to get a lot of movies on BD that other countries don't.
