Wasn't this already made?

Didn't it suck really hard?

Wasn't Steve Jobs an egocentric asshole and all but said it himself in autobiography?

These reboots are getting out of hand.

This is not a reboot, any more than a new biography of a person is a "reboot" of previous biographies.

Regardless, it's stupid to make another Steve Jobs movie. They need to give it about a decade and a half. That way, the rose-tinted glasses are gone and he can be portrayed honestly.

See John Carpenter's Elvis as an example of a biomovie made too soon to address the man rather than the myth.

Nicholas, I think you are right.
I also think that, going against the grain here, other than plain eccentricity, Steve Jobs is not really all that interesting. At least for me personally the personal attributes of extreme wealth and oddness do not necessarily mean I want to watch a movie about a guy for two hours.

What I have read about does not make him a very appealing person in real life, for sure very smart, but not a very nice person to his employees or family and when it came down to it, not very nice to himself either. Oddly enough, he was not that happy either for a person that could buy anything in the world.

Yeah, so that sounds like a miserable angst filled movie with Christian Bale, scored by non-melodic Trent Reznor and shot in pale grey tones.

Yeah I had a rough week so maybe I am not objective, but this sounds absolutely unappealing.

That was a statement I made in jest. wink

I'm as excited about THE HOBBIT as I am about STEVE JOBS, or perhaps a little less so.

There were actually two movies about him in 2013:

"jOBS" and "iSteve".

I don't know, I'm of a mind that there is such a thing as over-Jobs-saturation.
