BOND65:

Thanks for the info. I have Streisand's cd set WHAT MATTERS MOST of Alan and Marilyn Bergman songs. Unfortunately, "Summer Me, Winter Me' isn't included.

You can find Barbra's version on her album "The Way We Were." That album also has her versions of "Pieces of Dreams" and "What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life?"

I consider "The Picasso Summer" one of Legrand's finest achievements.

Intrada and Kritzerland have released many wonderful titles and will continue in the future. Let there be peace between both of you.

There is complete peace between us. Roger is aces in my book.

Bruce, do you have something against me? I didn't do anything wrong here, and even went back and corrected my main post when the typo was discovered. What's the big deal?

I do not. I just think it's funny that you rush to post this here, then don't return for days to fix it. It's no biggie at all. Just having a spot of fun, which I know is verboten on this board due to an outbreak of no humor

Wow, some real swift soundtrack aficionados here, really. Hopefully Mr. LeBlanc was just in a big ol' hurry to be the first to post about the release, because if Intrada did this we really will have to go brain someone over there.

SUMMER of '42/THE PICASSO SUMMER
Composed and Conducted by ELMER BERNSTEIN
INTRADA Special Collection Vol. 286

Okay, aficionados, what's wrong with this picture?

Checked the Intrada site - this one's on Mr. LeBlanc, I'm afraid. Hurrying is never a good idea. Cutting and pasting is an even worse idea. smile

With all due respect Bruce, I do not understand what you are accusing me of. Did you really think I erased Michel Legrand and typed Elmer Bernstein myself? All I did was copy and paste what Roger posted on his forum.

Please, follow this link and see for yourself:

http://www.intrada.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6397

As you can see, as soon as I noticed his mistake, I pointed it out to him in his forum, and edited the main post here.

This was my error, not Jason's.

Well, then as I said in my initial post, we all need to brain you. smile I did say that in my initial post, but Mr. LeBlanc was long gone by then and apparently didn't bother checking this thread until today?

If by "brain" you mean provide me with a new, fresher more functional brain, bring it on. Name the time and place.

I have several new in box brains here. We have several models. The models are cute and so are the brains and I am the brains behind the models if you get my drift and I know you do.

Picasso's Summer of '42 has turned a new leaf...
... into an autumnal 'sold out' harvest.

A good season for CDs.
