Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the number of available titles, I do not fully remember that one other that it was certainly above average. I am also very found of "Trinità e Sartana, figli di..." released this year. Although both of them feature somewhat more beats, typical of the westerns from the 70s.
I'm not familiar with this one, but those samples sure are groovy. It's been a while since I've picked up a Spaghetti Western soundtrack. I think I'll have to remedy that soon...
It is true that I am very fond of Carlo Savina's music and also of Italian westerns but I also do not have this title - the $30 price tag can be rather prohibitive when it comes to the GDM/Hillside released since there are so many Beat, Digitmovies etc. titles that cost just two thirds of that price. I just checked the samples and they are wonderful! This will have to be ordered soon.
Incidentally I just played Savina's Testa o Croce yesterday. What are the opinions here about this score? I really like the title song (also by Don Powell) and the theme variations are brilliant. My sole complaint is there's just too many saloon music which I mostly programme out.
Yes ToneRow I think that this might just be my favorite western score by Savina it is very atmosphere driven. Sorry I have not had much time for input on the board these days working away from home most of the time has left me with little time for so many things these days. Noticed your other great Savina dedicated posts I'd recommend that you check out his score for indagine su un delitto perfetto love that title don't think you have mentioned that one yet.
Glad about the positive feedback to the sound samples on this title. I assumed more members would own this CD but it appears a high price is a #1 reason for this.

I didn't yet mention that 1978 thriller, wayoutwest, but I have gotten INDAGINE SU UN DELITTO PERFETTO within the past 3 weeks and am liking this one a lot too!
I'll update my Savina discography post later this month with all the titles I got since I posted that thread ...
What to make of PIZZA CONNECTION? I guess you must see the film.
Ag^Janus doesn't want to order PIZZA?
Well, I don't blame you ... I see it is from 1985 and this is low priority for me. Soundtracks from the 1960s & 1970s are my main focus in my attempt to collect Carlo Savina albums.
Dusty Groove does have some nice words for the PIZZA CONNECTION, though ...
Following the links provided by wayoutwest I bought HEY AMIGO...YOU'RE DEAD! and hope to get it next week. Buying it for 10 pounds is completely different from the $30 price tag at SAE!
I don't know PIZZA CONNECTION but how about L'ORCHESTRA ROSSA? That's from 1989 and it's a great orchestral score with a sort of tragic feel in it. I like it! According to IMDB Savina composed only one more score after that.
i tried the links but all i could get was repeated playings of the main title song. tried clicking on other tracks but it just kept playing main title over and over.
im sick of that bloody song now!! heyyyyyy amiiiiiigo!!!

Odd. I just tried it and it works fine for me. I get all the different tracks.
