FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10

LOST IN SPACE---a reboot of the classic Irwin Allen sci fi series is underway at Legendary TV. The series ran on CBS from 1965-1968 and starred Guy Williams, June Lockhart, Bill Mumy and Jonathan Harris.

JAMES BOND 24---Lea Seydoux (BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOR, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE-GHOST PROTOCOL) has signed on the be the latest Bond Girl according to a British tabloid. Seydoux will probably be the second Bond Girl in the sequel with the main Bond Girl being British.

LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE---Sony Pictures movie underway based on the NBC family Western series that starred Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert. Sean Durkin (MARCY MARTHA MAY MARLENE) is in negotiations to direct.

THE WALKING DEAD---question-and-answer session with Robert Kirkman and Scott Gimple.

Q: Are Gareth and his cannibals going to be the main villains in Season 5?
KIRKMAN: "I'm not going to answer the cannibal thing directly but I'll say that anyone who is looking at Gareth as possibly being the new Governor, should know that Gareth will eat that guy for lunch."

Q: Is Rick's relationship with Michonne turning romantic?
GIMPLE: "As far as Rick and Michonne, their relationship will grow even more intimate and even more tight, but I don't know if there's really going to be room for romance with the things that are happening. They're very close. I was talking to Danai about it, and she referred to Michonne as being Rick's "work wife." So maybe they'll wind up like Pam and Jim [on THE OFFICE], but that took a long time."

Q: Is the comic book villain Negan going to be in Season 5?
KIKMAN: "While Negan's introduction isn't something that we have planned, that moment would be something that we would build up to in possibly a more substantial way than that. It wouldn't just be an aside or a wink and nudge. That would be a pretty monumental event that would be possibly be something we would shape an entire season around. So, I wouldn't expect that to just be kind of slipped in casually."

GHOSTBUSTERS---Ernie Hudson commented on the all-female reboot movie, "I heard it was going to be a total reboot, and that it would have nothing to do with the other two movies. If it has nothing to do with the other two movies, and it's all female, then why are you calling it Ghostbusters?
I love females. I hope that if they go that way at least they'll be funny, and if they're not funny at least hopefully it'll be sexy. I love the idea of including women, I think that's great, but all-female I think would be a bad idea. I don't think the fans want to see that."

THE HATEFUL EIGHT---Jennifer Jason Leigh is the female lead in the Quentin Tarantino Western. Kurt Russell, Bruce Dern, Walton Goggins and Samuel L. Jackson also star.

STAR WARS REBELS---the two-part Disney XD animated series will rerun on ABC on October 26. The rerun will include an added scene which "gives audiences insight into the Inquisitor (voiced by Jason Isaacs) and includes a cameo by Darth Vader." James Earl Jones returns as the voice of Darth Vader.

MARVEL: FROM PULP TO POP---a documentary celebrating Marvel's 75 years will air on ABC on November 4.

12 MONKEYS---the Syfy tv series remake of the 1996 movie will premiere on January 16, 2015. Brice Willis and Brad Pitt starred in the movie.

TERMINATOR GENISYS---Jai Courtney (A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD) commented on the sequel's rating, "I would love to see it be rated R, but I don't think it will. I think in this day & age, it's much more likely to be PG-13. There were no f-bombs. But there'll be a healthy amount of movie violence." He added, It's not necessarily a sequel or a reboot. I don't even know how you brand it correctly. We're not remaking one of the early Terminator movies. And it doesn't necessarily carry on from the point where we left off."

ABC---renewed HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER and BLACK-ISH.

CBS---renewed UNDER THE DOME and EXTANT and canceled RECKLESS.

ARCHIE MEETS PREDATOR---Dark Horse Comics announced Archie and the gang will be vacationing in Costa Rica when they become the latest trophy targets for the Predator. The comic book will be released in 2015.

WHICH WITCH---Billy Crystal is the star/producer/writer of this animated movie from The Jim Henson Company.

NFL---Luke Wilson is negotiations to play NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in this untitled Will Smith movie about the NFL concussion controversy.

SUPER BOWL XLIX---Katy Perry will perform at halftime on February 1, although earlier she said she's, "...not the kind of girl to pay to play the Super Bowl." The NFL also contacted Rihanna and Cold Play about appearing during the game.

Lea Seydoux is stunning and has great screen presence...she'll make a fine Bond Girl.

Archie meets Predator - brought a smile to my face. Needs the picture to bring it up to its fullest though (grin).

Yes, but if she's the supporting one this might make two spy movies where her character doesn't make it to the end credits (has there ever been a Bond movie where both main females survived?).

License to Kill, for one.

I heard Archie was going to be killed off... Maybe this is how it happens!

There was also a remake of Allen's Time Tunnel. The unaired pilot was released as a bonus on the TT DVD.

Sadly yes. And I don't imagine it's going to go any better the third time around.
